Dear
Friends and Fellow Outdoors Enthusiasts,
Trails & Tales Outdoors Radio is
a weekly program that covers events and issues of interest to outdoors
enthusiasts in the Upper Great Lakes.
It is a family-oriented program designed
to help young and old understand and enjoy together the outdoor
heritage we hold so near and dear.
We devote much of the program to
hunting, fishing and other outdoors sports but we also cover many other
subjects that affect our enjoyment of the outdoors.
For example, we foster outdoor-safety
education programs and we discuss agricultural, forest management and
other practices as they affect water quality and habitat.
When we discuss government and private
actions and policies that affect the outdoors, we make a special effort
to bring you all the major viewpoints on each subject to help you reach
your own well-informed conclusions. Only
rarely do we take editorial positions on these subjects.
My love of the outdoors goes back more
than 40 years and my work in outdoor radio goes back to 1988.
I have been the host of this weekly
program since July, 1998. During that time, the program has garnered
many major awards for excellence in broadcasting.
I have been privileged to receive
numerous conservation awards, including being named a Partner in Conservation by the DNR in August of 2006.
Trails & Tales is great fun for me because I meet so many
of you who are committed to preserving the great outdoor heritage
in the Upper Great Lakes.
Sincerely,
Tim
